What's In My Bag? Vlog

Today I'm linking up with Jackie @ Carolina Queen to film a "What's In My Bag?" vlog! A few of us on Twitter were talking about this two nights ago so I am so excited to linkup with all of them! Here's my video:

You all should film one too! Because I'm nosy and like to see other people's things.. haha. Go to Jackie's blog to link up!

HERE is the link to the Etsy shop I bought my camera strap at. The username is HowardAvenue

Oh and P.S. I'm going out of town today to head down to St. Simon's Island/Jacksonville for Georgia/Florida! Expect lots of pictures when I get back. :) AND hope/pray that UGA beats Florida!! Gators wear jean shorts!

My Great Bath & Body Works Deal & Giveaways!

I know I talked about fragrances yesterday, but I just have to share this deal I found!

Two days ago my wallflower plug stopped working. It wasn't heating up anymore and I realized that half of the liquid was still in the scent part. So I Googled the problem to see if maybe there was a way to fix it on my own. Some websites said that B&BW would just replace the plug, so I was ecstatic!

On my way to the gym, I stopped by my favorite scent store and they hooked me up with a brand new scent plug, but this one was beige! And much cuter than the original. They even put my old scent bottle into the new plug. So helpful! But while I was there.. I had to scoop up a few more products. I had a "Purchase $10 worth and get a free Body Care item" so I took a look around. Most of the fall items were 50% off.. and this is what I got:
1. Fox Scent Portable in Autumn Apple for my car - 50% off. (LOVE it)
2. Dark Kiss Body Cream for free!
3. Wallflower plug for free! (Exchanged the old one for this new one)
4. Salty Caramel Wallflower Scent (50% off) to go compliment...
5. Salty Caramel 3-wick Candle also 50% off!

As you all probably already know, the 3-wick candles are regularly $19.50. BUT I got ALL of these products for just under $18. Does this not just blow your mind?? I think it's amazing. I'm so proud of my shopping!

And I'm so obsessed with this Salty Caramel scent I may just go back and buy a few more candles for storage. And a few more Wallflower scents.. and maybe a Scentportable scent for my car. ;) I definitely recommend you all go out and check out these deals!

What's your favorite Bath and Body Works scent??

Also, one of my blogging besties (this is honestly what I call them in real life too..) Emily is holding a giveaway with Marley Lilly. And we ALL love Marley Lilly. She's giving away a scarf/pashmina and let me just tell you I want to win this. I need one of these scarves! Gimme! Go here to enter! :)

2 posts in one day? Cray cray. But I guess I did it Friday too. :)

I was going to do another vlog today.. until I realized I was wearing the same shirt as I was in the last vlog. Not okay. This morning I had to work from 7am to 11:30 so needless to say I am very tired. But I bought some goodies after work. :) Accessories/Shoes/Jewelry/One sweater. So here's my OOTD!

Cardigan: J.Crew

Top 5 Tuesday: Perfume

Just Peachy

In honor of some interesting/great/mysterious news I heard last night.. this week's theme is Perfume! "What's this news" you may ask? Well, Louis Vuitton is now headed into the fragrance business. This will be the first time since the 80's that LV had its own fragrance. There's no word quite yet what it will smell like.. but I really hope I like it! I can only imagine what the bottle is going to look like.. on my fragrance tray. ;) Here are the current perfumes on my tray (in order of favorites):

1. Viva la Juicy: I used to be a huuuge Juicy Couture fan. I'm talking.. huge huge. Like it was all I would wear.. somehow? I don't know, but I had like 4 purses and 5 tracksuits. Embarrassing. But still. I of course had to get the first perfume when it came out and I loved it then. But then it was too floral/old woman for me. When I was packing for London this past summer, I decided to look for a roller ball perfume instead of taking a huge bottle, and I just happened to put Viva La Juicy on first. I AM OBSESSED. It smells way different on my body than it does in the bottle. It lasts so long and the vanilla scent definitely sticks and makes me smell so yummy. Love.

2. Burberry Brit: I've used this since around the same time as the original Juicy Couture perfume. I just love the musty/vanilla smell. I don't like too girly floral scents and I kind of like the more masculine scents. This mixes femininity with masculinity. And I love Burberry.

3. Bath and Body Works Dark Kiss: Cheapy obsession, right here. I have the Body Spray, Body Cream, and the Body Wash. If they had Shampoo I'd probably have that too.. and candles.. and Wallflower scents. Great price, great smell, yum yum yum. I used to be a Twilight Woods girl until this more feminine scent came along.

4. Escada Magnetism: This I kind of bought on a whim. It's really sweet and sugary smelling and not like anything else I've ever worn. But for some reason I love it! Especially for spring and summer. I actually bought it online for pretty cheap at Overstock.com and it was my first purchase that was delivered to this house. :)

5. Marc Jacobs Lola: This I obsessed over like the others for a good few months. It seemed like pretty much everyone and their dog was wearing this in the sorority house. Yet I still had to have it. I absolutely love the bottle.. probably a little bit more than the scent. But sometimes I have one of those days where I just need a spray. It dries on my skin better than the bottle smells and the vanilla really shows. But I think the bottle is what I like most.

What is your favorite perfume?? I'm always looking for new ones. I love collecting them!

This weekend was spent hanging out with family and taking senior pictures for some old family friends. Saturday we went over to my Aunt/Uncle/Cousin's house to hang out and watch football. We went out to eat and did a little bit of shopping (of course) and I got some real cute craft ideas from a cute little jewelry art store we stopped by. And m sister and I also had a fun little photoshoot outside the store. Here's our OOTDs:

It was a great weekend with my family and it was so great to see my Aunt from Michigan!

Sunday I took some senior pictures for a family friend. They turned out so great! I'm still trying to figure out Lightroom/Photoshop editing but here's a couple really good ones:

This week is a LITTLE bit less busy for me than the past few weeks, so I'm hoping to have some more creative posts up! Thanks for bearing with me lately as I try to keep up with my endless to do list of a life! :)

Results, Design, Giveaways

Happy Friday everyone!

Sorry for no post yesterday. I was literally running around from 9 am until 6:30 pm when I got home! I'm making this weekend a 3 whole day weekend (all Friday, Saturday and Sunday) because I probably won't be back home again for a month. Just in time for THANKSGIVING. One of my favorite holidays. And with this Pinterest obsession.. I'm thinking we're going to have lots of new, delicious foods at our table this year.

Anyways, Greek Grind 2011 was a success!! Although we didn't place 1st again for our "three-peat" we did get 2nd which is still AWESOME. Our dance was more amazing than any of the other years. We really looked like a professional dance team (I think anyways) and we were so unique and classy with our moves! For those of you who have asked.. no I was not in the dance! Ha we actually have a tryout process and although I can bust a move downtown, I just don't think I'd be able to perform as well as these girls! Here's this year's video:

Last night I got a little crazy with my graphic designing and made an iPhone background for myself. Complete with monogram. :) I'm still trying to figure out how to make a clean line around the circle. And I will figure it out!! It's a good start.

Speaking of design.. does anyone know how to make this shape in Photoshop or Gimp (the outline shape)? Or do you have any idea what this shape is called so that I can find a Photoshop Brush/Shape to download that will help me? Thanks in advance! :)
There are SO many great giveaways going on right now! Here are a few of them:

- Sweet Southern Prep is giving away an adorable cross necklace (that I've wanted forever!) HERE.
- Ty @ Rants. Raves. Ridiculous. is giving away SO many great gifts in order to get the word out about her fundraising efforts for Cystic Fibrosis! To find out more you can check out her fundraising page HERE and there's more information at her blog HERE. (Erin Condren planner anyone.. ??!)
- Turtles and Pearls is giving away SUPER cute monogrammed decals from 2Preppy Girls. Check it out HERE. (I'm so into monograms right now can't you tell.. I'm late on the bandwagon. VERY late.)

Good luck everyone! Be prepared next week for some picture from this weekend. ;)

Happy Greek Grind Day!

So I'm sure none (except for maybe like two) of you have heard of Greek Grind, but around UGA it's kind of a big deal. And to my sorority, it's kind of a HUGE deal because we are the two time reigning champs!!

Greek Grind is a dance competition between the sororities on campus that raises money for Sigma Delta Tau's philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse America. Each sorority choreographs a dance (most often hip hop) and then campus celebrities like football players, basketball players, etc. judge them. The winners get money donated to their own philanthropy!

I am soo excited to watch all of the performances. Each year the dances get better and better. And each year this event is bigger and bigger! It was sold out before tickets were even open to the public. So needless to say, this is a huge event on campus. The competition is SO close and all the sororities do such a great job!! It's so amazing to see great dancers and how creative everyone is!

But of course I have to brag on Zeta just a little.. Here's the past 3 years videos. :)

2008 - 2nd place!
2009 - 1st place!!
2010 - 1st place!!

Can we do it again this year??? ;) Don't worry.. I will be updating you all on Twitter as soon as the results come in!

Top 5 Tuesday: Everyday Makeup Products

Just Peachy

I really don't wear very much makeup. Day to day I'll just wear some eye shadow, mascara, and bronzer. But I really want to start wearing more! Here are my basics:

1. Eye Shadow
I use the Mac Cream Color Base in Seaside as a base for my eye shadow.
Then I use this Lorac Eye Shadow Trio in Superstar. I use the lighter shade all over my lid, then the middle shade as my crease, and a little of the darker in the outer corners. I absolutely love Lorac eye shadow. It goes on so smooth and lasts for a long time. I'm also trying out Mac eye shadows and have been liking them as well.

2. Mascara

I've been using Maybelline The Falsies in Black Drama for about a year now. I don't really have any reason to change.. it makes my lashes look longer and thicker without making them crunchy and stuff.

3. Bronzer

Urban Decay Baked Bronzer in Toasted is the only bronzer I've found that I actually like. It is matte so no glowy, glittery faces. It can be kind of dark, and I'm wondering if it is going to be too dark for me in the winter but I absolutely love it for the Spring, Summer, and Fall.

4. Eyeliner

ELF Cream Eyeliner in Black is so easy to use. I've always been intimidated of cream and gel and liquid liners, but this one works amazingly. It glides on so smooth and is very opaque. It's quick and easy and definitely buildable.

5. Tinted Lip Balm

I use Ulta Tinted Lip Balm in Berry and Melon whether I'm going to class or going out. It's very pigmented but glossy at the same time. But not sticky glossy, shiny glossy. I absolutely love it and whenever I go to my Ulta other colors are sold out!

Do y'all have any suggestions for me? Or any good YouTube tutorials for everyday/smokey eyes?

Style Icon: Courtney Kerr

Most Eligible Dallas ends tonight. :( So sad. I'm absolutely obsessed with this show. It has made me want to move back to Dallas and force Courtney Kerr to be my best friend. I know we would be in real life, but I feel like I need to prove it to her anyways. If any of you have seen this show you know that she has amazing taste in clothing. Therefore, she is my newest style icon.

She works at Sunglass Hut... so did I.
Silk shirts.. tucked in.. enough said.
Perf.
Even looks cute in casual work out gear.
